The citadel of Villefranche-sur-Mer is already decked out with gardens but from April 16 through 18, the place will be transformed into a colossal bouquet. The yearly festival La Citadelle en Fleurs brings together amateur and professional florists plus regional gardeners eager to display the first fruits and vegetables of spring. The event is free and usually attracts thousands of visitors, ready to swoon over the colors, tastes and fragrances.
