The Nice bus station, also known as the Gare Vauban, Gare Routière or Gare St Jean d'Angely, is at 16 av des Diables Bleus in east Nice. This bus station mostly handles regional or departmental lines. International lines such as Eurolines operate from Nice Airport or Nice train station.
Getting to the bus station
To reach the station take Tram Line 1 to the Vauban stop. Pass through a short tunnel and the station is right there. A map at the tram stop makes it all clear.
There's not much to do at the station except buy your ticket and board the bus. Things that the station does NOT have include WiFi, toilets, snacks, drinks or a cash machine. There is a small enclosed waiting area.
The bus station is open from 6am to noon and 1.50-5.50pm Monday to Saturday; 4.30-5.30pm Sunday. For early departures Sunday morning you can buy tickets from the driver.
